Strategic Planning Efforts
Building ICHWA
Community
health workers need to unite as an active force for change within the profession and the
health care industry. By creating a stronger community and association, CHWs can
harness the creativity and the energy of workers across the state to benefit both the
profession and the patients they serve.

Strategic Planning Efforts
Training & Mentorship
While strong training programs do exist
through Idaho State University, CHWs recognize the opportunity to create additional
sustainable training and support for those in the profession.

CHW Network and Communities of Practice
ICHWA is working to foster connection and support among CHW professionals across the state with an emphasis on our rural/frontier communities, we will establish Communities of Practice that includes a robust communication network that will include multiple channels for connection and communication between regions.

Stakeholder Analysis
A crucial step in positively influencing the CHW profession involves pinpointing and understanding key stakeholders who can contribute to our strategic plan's advancement. We are eager and excited to identify these entities as well as nurture existing partnerships.

Quarterly Partner Meeting Efforts
Enhancing Transportation Experience
During our Quarterly Partner Meeting ICHWA took on transportation and identified several areas of opportunity. ICHWA has hosted and will continue to host discussions and actionable goals addressing transportation for patients in Idaho.

Quarterly Partner Meeting Efforts
Identifying and Listing Safe Parking Zones
During our Quarterly Partner Meeting we discussed the possibility of identifying safe parking zones for those who are homeless. We are in the early stages of this discussion but look forward to creating a safe parking zone resource.

Quarterly Partner Meeting Efforts
Home Health in Rural Idaho
Our QPM meeting put a spotlight on additional barriers our rural Idahoans face. There is a serious lack in home health resources as well as other therapeutic services. ICHWA plans to explore these issues more with our CHWs.

ICHWA Board Efforts
Fundraising Efforts - Fall Gala
ICHWA is working towards its first GALA Fundraiser! We are eager and excited to share the wonderful work done by CHWs and to receive support from our community partners to build ICHWA which in turn provides resources for our valued CHW professionals
